Nancy Pelosi said, "Impeachment is off the table."  Well, we need to put it on our table and provide five more co-signers from Oregon. Due to the present administration, meaningful accomplishments are thwarted and denied repeatedly and tragically soldiers die and are maimed daily while we click down the days to a new administration in 2008.  Can we afford to wait?  To me it is unconscionable.

Even if the process did not end with the removal of the president and vice president, the American people would have stood up and made a statement to their country, it's politicians and the world.  It is our duty to use our power to impeach.  The process itself is a tool to keep us out of Iran.  It is very difficult to invade another country, when under impeachment in your own.

Twenty four congresspersons have co-sponsored Dennis Kucinich's "Articles of Impeachment Against Dick Cheney": Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), Maxine Waters (D-CA), Hank Johnson (D-GA), Keith Ellison (D-MN), Lynn Woolsey (D-CA), Barbara Lee (D-CA), Albert Wynn (D-MD), William Lacy Clay (D-MO), Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), Yvette Clarke (D-NY), Jim McDermott (D-WA), Jim Moran (D-VA), Bob Filner (D-CA), Sam Farr (D-CA), Robert Brady (D-PA), Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), Donald Payne (D-NJ), Steve Cohen (D-TN), Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), Carolyn Kilpatrick (D-MI), Ed Towns (D-NY), Diane Watson (D-CA), Danny Davis (D-IL), Raul Grijalva (D-AZ).

The intent of the Pelosi Project is to encourage and empower our congresspersons in Oregon to become Endorsers #25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30.  Please contact them and encourage them to restore justice, strength and clarity to our nation.

Democratic Party of Oregon RESOLUTION NO. 2005-009

Section 1. The Democratic Party of Oregon asks Congress to immediately begin the investigation of the Downing Street memos that could lead to impeachment proceedings against President Bush, Vice President Cheney and Defense Secretary Rumsfeld.
